This initiative aligns with Japan’s national rollout of the “MyNa License” system, which officially began in March 2025, enabling citizens to carry a single smart card for both personal identification and driving credentials.

AB Circle’s smart card readers—including the CIR315A, CIR415A, and CIR715A—are fully compatible with the new integrated ID cards.
